Puttenahalli Junctions Underpass will take 6 more months to complete

This Under pass project on 15 cross, JP Nagar 6th phase, near  Puttenahalli junction was  awarded in March with the commencement on 17th March 2008 with the total cost of 23. crores by the  BBMP with a dead line of 10 months and the work was started in April, by the contractors called EPI Ltd., under the ministry of heavy industry,  but the dead line is almost getting over, but work remains still by 80%, and they say it would take another 6 more months to complete, work is carries with very less man power, when asked the contractors they said that they have received a circular that they are not suppose to give any statements to the Press, one thing was assured that they would be employing more manpower to complete the project soon ie. by 6 months.

As it is lot of inconvenient is put to all the commuters and local residents which includes personalities like Girsh Karnad, Tara and Ambrish and other eminent personalities who are residing in the locality, the main reason for the delay is that they have started the project during the monsoon, and the project was put almost for 5 months as stand still, apart from that a technical problem as the JP 6th Phase area earlier a River and it is  Slush Solid the water keeps coming out from the earth on its own, that is one of the other reason for the delay, they have kept 5 heavy duty 10 HP motors to suck the water and it is happening in portion by portion which is a 25 feet depth box, while coming to Kederanahalli again it has Hard Rock soil so that particular project is also getting delay,

they should have either pre pond or postponed the project, another delay is because they have Simultaneously  started two projects one at JP Nagar another at Kaderanahalli, they could have always done one first and gone for the next, due to their improper plan the people are suffering, as it there is  lot of traffic problems, actually speaking there was  no genuine need of under pass at JP Nagar Junction says residents
