Writer and economics expert M.R. Venkatesh delivered a lecture on "American Economic Recession and It's Impact on India" earlier this week at Keshava Shilpa.
M.R. Venkatesh is a Chartered Accountant by profession who addresses the business concerns relating to economic policies, international trade and business strategies.
Venkatesh is also a commentator on International Trade and Economic Affairs. He is also the Associate Editor of the Consolidated Commercial Digest and is a regular contributor to the prestigious publications in India.
In 2001, he authored a handbook on Anti-dumping which was released by the former Prime Minister of India Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee in 2001. He has also Co-authored a book on Anti-dumping: Principles, Practices and Procedures, which was published in Chennai in August 2003. He has authored a monograph on Capital Account Convertibility in July 2006 as well as one on inflation, which was published in 2007.
M R Venkatesh has also authored a detailed report on the farm sector in India in the context of ongoing Doha Round of negotiations and the aegis of WTO. He is a visiting faculty in various professional institutions, Chambers of Commerce and Universities.
His latest book was titled Global Imbalances and the impending Dollar crisis which was published in September 2007.
