Mystery of Missing Tappal

Is the P&T department tampering with our post? Some people complained non-receipt of letters, reminders from LIC, etc, while a few alleged that the letters were being delivered "unofficially" to unauthorized persons.
When TWB sought clarification about this from the local P&T department, the officials denied the charges of tampering saying the system followed by them was "tamper-proof". The local LIC office also explained away the delay in receipt of reminders regarding premium payments, saying that it was not binding on them to remind the policy holders about the due date for payment of premium.

Some instances have come to light where the premium has fallen due for payment more than 4 months ago, but due to non-receipt of reminder letter, the policy holder has not made the payment, and the policy has become inactive. In such cases there's no use blaming the P&T department or the LIC for they have a convenient "official" alibi. The only way out is to remind ourselves….
