Art classes for stars and the commoner
There are many reasons why Bengaluru stands as a cultural capital. Apart from cultural hotspots like Chowdaiah Memorial Hall, Rangashankara, H Narasimhaiah Kalakshetra, Suchitra Film Soceity, Ananya, Chitrakala Parishath, Venkatappa Art Gallery, Kannada Bhavana and Ravindra Kalakshetra, there are many smaller fine arts centers contributing to these major institutions in their own capacity.

Virtuoso's Palette Art School is one such fine art schools which was founded in 2003. With its short-term courses in drawing and painting it has taught over 3000 students including adults and kids. The students come from all walks of life - there are doctors, engineers, IT professionals, other professionals, housewives, graphic designers, fashion designers, architects, interior designers and children who have been a part of this institution.
Even the elite class who are rich and famous like everyone else has found the place quite cozy to realize their dreams of painting a landscape or the portraits of their choice in the mediums like watercolor, oil and acrylic.
A senior IAS officer, an actress, a moviemaker and many other distinguished people are learning here at the Palette Art School.
One of the famous families who have tried their hand at fine arts in Virtuoso's is that of the former minister, late Smt. Dr. KS Nagarathnamma's. Her younger sister Dr. Muthu Navaneetham an anesthetist, the elder sister of Dr. Sulochana Gunasheela is one of its proud alumni.
Dr. Muthu Navaneetham with her daughter Mona, wife of a brigadier in the Indian Army joined the course 3 years ago at her age of 78 and she is still a student here simultaneously exploring water and oil mediums.
'I came here at a time when I was wondering, is anything possible by me anymore? And to my own surprise I have achieved quite a lot. I have learned to paint independently today, besides, I have gained so much tranquility painting my time through. There is an excellent teaching staff headed by CS Shashidhar, who are young pliant and understanding', acknowledges Dr Navaneetham.

Many of the students who have learnt here have become professional painters exhibiting their works in premier galleries.
From the November 5th it is starting a comprehensive sculpture course. With its short-term courses and flexible class hours it makes it convenient for everyone to persuade their dream of becoming artists learning up to the highest proficiency without the hassles of academic process. It helps those who in spite a great interest in art could not go to an art school as they other main-stream educational courses to be learnt.
