Sanitary lines will be replaced: Katta
A rainwater harvesting project will be taken up in 5th Block, Jayanagar and it will become a role model for the whole city, said BWSSB Minister Katta Subramanya Naidu. The Minister who visited BN Vijayakumar, Jayanagar MLA’s office for the first time, said rain harvesting will be taken up in Lalbagh and Cubbon Park. A sum of Rs 10 crore had been earmarked for rainwater harvesting in the budget, he said.
Interacting with the residents of Jayanagar, Sri Naidu agreed to consider their MLA’s request for replacing all the sanitary and water pipelines with new pipes in Jayanagar assembly constituency in the next two years. Sri Vijayakumar also appealed to all those who had taken illegal water connections to get them regularized to avoid disconnection.
He also urged the Minister to rectify the sub-main problem at Gurappanapalya. BWSSB chairman, Ramamurthy, former corporators CK Ramamurthy and Somashekar were present
