Dasara, one of the major festivals of the Hindus is celebrated with great pomp and festivities to mark the
destruction of the evil. The Dasara Festival in Karnataka is celebrated with a lot of extravagance and is mainly celebrated in Mysore which is one of the most important and well known Dasara festivals in India. For the first time in the Silicon Valley of India- Bengaluru, Dasara was celebrated in a lavish way with all its hues and festivity in the Gayatri Vihar, Palace Ground on 9th October, the auspicious day of Dasara this year. Jain Heights, a leading real estate player in Karnataka had organised the BENGALURU DASARA FESTIVAL, with sole intention of providing a platform for Dasara celebration in Bangalore by creating a kind of the Mysore Dasara Festival culture. The people witnessed the experience of a Mysore feeling in an ancient traditional style in Bangalore.

9th October 2008 celebrated Dasara with traditional gaiety and fervour along with flamboyance and enthusiasm. At the entrance of the venue, the lavishly decorated elephants, horses and camels with traditionally dressed 'Santris' were eager to welcomethe guests and visitors. At the lawn entrance, Nadaswaram ,Yakshagana artists with percussionists, Kutchi Ghodi with dholak, Stilt artists, Juggler, Caricature artists, Face Painters, Mehandi, Hair Beading, Bangles Stall ,Walk around magician entertained the visitors.

The various attractions of the event included stall based games, eM Play International Gaming (a high tech game show from Malaysia), Laser show and performance based show like Wendell Grey - Fire Acrobat show, M S Sridhar - Fashion Show showcasing the collection of traditional sarees, Teaam 5678 - Dance Troupe (a dance team, which has ruled the Southern part of the country for over ten years) performing on the bollywood tracks and the most amazing combination to talk about unity through Bharatnatyam, Yakshagana and Bollywood number on the same platform together …
And last but not the least, Jain Heights presented the most attractive performance to the Bengalurians -- THE SHAAN CONCERT on the eve of Dasara Festival. Shaan, the famous Bollywood singer performed live and entertain the crowds to the fullest in the evening. He swayed the crowd with his rocking performance … tantalizing them to their madness and fun with his Bollywood hits like ' Main hoon Don, Hey Shona, Who pehli baar jab hum mile, Bum Bum Bole masti mein dole and the list goes on and on. June Banerjee, a singer along with Shaan was equally good in few of the female leads that she was a part.
The entire boulevard of Gayatri Vihar witnessed the advent of a special season of pomp and pageantry. It was truly a celebration to enjoy with Jain Heights and mark a new beginning of GOOD in our lives !!!!
