All-night Mehfil
It’s going to be a memorable music-filled night on Saturday, Jan 20 at the Gymkhana Hall of Indian Institute of Science (from 9 pm onwards). The Gururao Deshpande Sangeet Sabha is organizing the 24th Music Mehfil where seasoned artistes Vinayak Torvi, Samaresh Chawdhury, Manjiri Asanare, Venkatesh Kumar (vocal), Dr Suma Sudhindhra (Veena), Rimpa Shiva (tabla, solo) will be performing at the all-night mehfil.
Sanskrit orientation
Adarsh Samskrta Mahavidyalaya is organizing an orientation programme for inservice high school Sanskrit teachers at MEWS, Bhoomika Hall, 17th Cross, Malleswaram from Jan 19-21.

Dance fest
The Rajarajeshwarinagar Cultural Association is organizing Nritya Jahnavi Nrutyotsava, a classical dance fest in memory of Jhanavi Jayaprakash, one of the founding members of the association. Intercollegiate debate competition
Noted TV compere Deepak Thimmayya will moderate Verbattle Senior, a State-level inter-collegiate debate competition to be organized by TV House, a media company and sponsored by Confident Group.
Students in the age group of 16-24 can take part in the competition. Each team will consist of two students and there’s an entry fee of Rs 500 per team. The winners will take home a cash prize of Rs 1,00,000 while the other two finalists will receive a cash prize of Rs 30,000.
