Traffic diversions on Chord Road:

The Vijayanagar traffic police have introduced traffic diversions in and around MC Circle (Magadi Main Road) and West of Chord Road, on account of the construction of an underpass at MC Circle. The diversions will be in force till the construction is over, a release said. The changes announced are as follows:

• Movement of vehicles: Movement of vehicles from North to South direction on the Rajajinagar Industrial Town II and II Main Road towards Magadi Main Road is banned; however, movement of vehicles from the opposite direction is allowed.

• Movement of vehicles from Vijayanagar P&T junction towards Magadi Main Road (South to North direction) is prohibited, while movement of vehicles in the opposite direction is allowed.

• Movement of vehicles on the Rajajinagar 12th Main Road from Basava Mantap junction towards Bashyam Circle (South to North direction) is prohibited, while movement of vehicles in the opposite direction is allowed.

Traffic deviations:
• Vehicles going towards Yeshwanthpur have to take left turn opposite to the Saraswati Convention Hall on the II and III Main Road of Rajajinagar Industrial Area and move further in front of Rajajinagar Fire Station, on IV Cross and have to move on the West of Chord Road. Vehilces going towards Majestic have to continue on Magadi Main Road via the MC Circle and have to move via Prasanna theatre towards Majestic area.

• Vehicles going towards Vijayanagar from Majestic have to go via the MC Circle and take a left turn near Veeresh theatre on Magadi Main Road and move in front of the P&T office and take a right turn near P&T junction and can go towards Vijayanagar from Magadi Chord Road.

• Vehicles going towards Vijayanagar from Yeshwanthpur have to go via the West of Chord Road and take a left turn at the 72nd Cross Road in Rajajinagar 6th Block, then take a right turn on 12th Main Road and move on Dr Rajkumar Road in front of Basava Mantap junction.

• Vehicles have to move towards MC Circle via Prasanna theatre and take a left turn near Veeresh theatre on Magadi Main Road and move in front of the P&T office and take a right turn near the P&T junction and can go towards Vijayanagar from Magadi Chord Road.

• Vehicles going towards Yeshwanthpur and Majestic from Vijayanagar have to take a left turn near Gayathri hospital on Magadi Chord Road and have to continue via MC Layout 8th Cross and take a right turn near Jaimuni Rao Circle on Magadi Main Road.

• Vehicles going towards Yeshwanthpur from Kamakshipalys have to take a left turn near KHB junction.

• BMTC buses going towards Ram Mandir from Prasanna theatre have to take a right turn near Basava Mantap junction on Dr Rajkumjar Road and have to take a left turn near Dinathanthi press and go towards Ram Mandir.

Parking banned: Parking is not allowed at MC Layout 8th Cross, P&T Road, 2nd and 3rd Main Road of Rajajinagar Industrial Area.
