Jewellery stolen in temple

Even God, it appears, is not safe from the hands of anti-social elements in the city. On Wednesday afternoon, the Banashankari temple on Hanumanthnagar Pipeline Road was closed for darshan between 3 and 4.30 pm. According to a complaint lodged by Sri Krishnamurthy, the temple priest, unidentified strangers gained entry into the temple by breaking open the door lock and escaped with the deity’s silver crown, gold chains, rings and other valuables.

A case has been registered and investigations are on.
