Sai Baba to be felicitated
Where there is a will, there is a way. More so, when it concerns Sai Baba. Chennai, starved of water for an eternity, today receives substantial quantity of Krishna water from Andhra Pradesh thanks to the initiative of Sri Satya Sai Baba who ensured smooth flow of Krishna water by providing concrete lining between Kandaleru and Poondi reservoirs. The project was commissioned out of public charitable funds to the tune of Rs 200 crore available with the Sri Satya Sai Organisation and the work was finished in a record time of 18 months.
On Sunday, Jan 21, the chief ministers of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, AP and Maharashtra will felicitate Sri Sathya Sai Baba for his efforts. Apart from HD Kumaraswamy, M. Karunanidhi, YS Rajashekara Reddy and Vilasrao Deshmukh, Home Minister Shivraj Patil, TN Governor Surjit Singh Barnala and Maharashtra Governor S M Krishna will also preside over the function.
