The curtains went up on the 65th Edition of the Cannes Film Festival, which also marks the fifteenth year L’Oréal Paris has been the official make-up artist for this exceptional annual event. Fifteen years, during which the world’s greatest actors and actresses have put themselves in the expert hands of our dream team of make-up artists.
To celebrate this year’s Festival, which has been dubbed “Cannes electric”, L’Oréal Paris will electrify the event with its new range of makeup, entitled “L’Or Electric”. The L’Or Electric collection has been specially created for the Cannes Film Festival, and will enable L’Oréal Paris’ make-up artists to create the most daring and glamorous looks on the Croisette.
Aishwarya Rai dazzled Cannes when she walked the red carpet for the screening of the film ‘Cosmopolis’.
Aishwarya was styled by L’Oréal Paris stylist Michael Angel for her red carpet appearance. Her makeup was understated with an emphasis on her eyes which were outlined with the Instant Impact Felt Liner from the L’Or Electric collection and highlighted in hues of gold and purple.
Aishwarya said, “For great eyes all you need is mascara – my favourite being the L’Oréal Paris Volume Million Lashes, and the new Instant Impact Felt Liner which has a felt top like a pen. Cannes this year is very special for me; it is my 10th year with L’Oréal Paris and my 11th year at the Cannes film festival and most importantly I’m here with my daughter making it incredibly special. The festival is only getting better each year and I have the L’Oréal Paris team to help me with my hair and makeup.”
