EFactor & OCC decode ‘funding’ for start ups

~The first in the series of events for Indian entrepreneurs~

Bangalore- EFactor, the world’s largest entrepreneurial community organized the first in its series of offline events for entrepreneurs in Bangalore. The first session was jointly organized along with Open Coffee Club (OCC), Bangalore and dealt with one of the most sorted and major issues for every entrepreneur – Funding. The session provided an interactive platform for Bangalore entrepreneurs to interact with angel investors and successful entrepreneurs on the topic.

This was followed by a panel discussion between the two domains, the young entrepreneurs who want to start up and the panel of esteemed professionals. The panel had renowned names which included Mr. Bala Girsaballa from Yahoo Entrepreneur Network as the moderator along with Mr. Anand Daniel from Accel Partners, Mr. Ravindra Krishnappa from the Indian Angel Network. The panel also had two Entrepreneurs who had recently raised funding. These included Mr. Shiv Kumar the founder of Exotel& Mr. Pawav from Unboxed.

During the session the panel spoke about the various nuances of running a successful business, the pitfalls one needs to watch out for, product and industry knowledge, varied business models and the correct channels and processes to seek out and obtain funding. The discussion was followed by an open floor for an interactive session between the audience and panel members. The lively and informative discussion had the panel also taking in feedback on the entrepreneurs’ experience of processes, perception & approach on funding attempts and successes.

The event was attended by over 120 young entrepreneurs from the city along with other angel investors and venture capitalists.
